Hollandia Doorrookers (1)

Hollandia 'Doorrookers', hand drawn images and partly coloured

Original, somewhat primitively drawn design for the first catalogue with a solid red cover, of HOLLANDIA, the “First Dutch Factory of Enamelled Pipes” by the firm Van der Want & Barras. This catalogue, drawn in India ink and pencil and consisting of 15 pages, contains 95 models, including 17 stem pipes and 12 figural face pipes. It includes partly different models than those found in the printed catalogue published in 1901. Particularly noteworthy is the cuff pipe with number 114 featuring a dog’s head with a collar on page 12, which does not appear in later catalogues. The catalogue dates from 1900 or early 1901.
