Over de Pijpelogische Kring Nederland

The foundation (formerly Pijpelogische Kring Nederland) aims to promote knowledge about the history of the tobacco pipe.

In 1978 an initiative was started by (clay) pipe collectors and researches to establish a regular share of knowledge and findings through the publication of a quarterly magazine Principally the magazine provides a platform for all members and other interested parties to publish their results of research, findings etc. This magazine has been steadily published since and still is a core activity of the Society. Since a decade or so, the Society also publishes once a year a larger, A4 size full colour publication. This yearbook generally contains more extended articles and research results. As a regular member, you will automatically receive all publications in printed form (dutch language).

The Society also strives, at a minimum once a year, to organise an in person event where members and others who are interested can freely present their finds for analysis, and where collectors can trade, sell and buy.

In addition, once a year the Society will hold it's yearly annual PKN Member daywhere members can meet, presentations are shared, collectors can sell and trade and getting together are the central elements
