Hollandia Doorrookers (6)

Hollandia 'Doorrookers'. The most lightweight pipes

Original catalogue of the “Eerste Nederlandsche Fabriek van Geëmailleerde Pijpen” (First Dutch Factory of Enamelled Pipes) of the firm Van der Want & Barras, dating from approximately 1910–1920. The catalogue originates from the company archive and bears the handwritten notes on the cover “Vooral deze bewaren” (“Be sure to keep this one”), and on the back “Bewaren” (“Keep”) and “Vooral bewaren” (“Especially keep”). The catalogue consists of ten pages instead of the usual sixteen; the first two and the final four pages are missing. This may be related to a reduction of the product range in the later war years due to the cessation of production at Bordollo. However, it is also possible that, since part of the earlier assortment remained available after 1917, these pages were removed at a later date.
